Arbor View Senior Living’s Flamingo Fundraiser Takes Flight to Support Denver’s 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Walk to End Alzheimer’s (Denver City Park)

ARVADA – Arbor View Senior Living has launched a colorful, community-driven fundraiser to support its team in the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Denver, taking place on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at 9:45 a.m. at Denver City Park, 2001 Colorado Blvd.

For a $50 donation or more, donors can have a yard of their choice “flocked” with pink flamingos for two days—a fun way to surprise a friend, family member or neighbor while supporting a great cause.

The retirement community’s “You’ve Been Flocked” event runs throughout August, giving Arvada residents and businesses a lighthearted way to get involved leading up to this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

“The flamingo fundraiser is a unique way to bring joy and a few laughs while raising awareness for a cause that affects so many families in Colorado,” said Leanne Weinheimer, Community Relations Director at Arbor View Senior Living.

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

To donate or schedule a flocking, contact Leanne Weinheimer at 720-672-3196. Donations can also be made online through Arbor View’s team fundraising page on the Alzheimer’s Association’s website.
