Meet the Team
Jamie’s interest in long-term care was piqued in high school and grew into a career that now spans over three decades. An industry veteran, she’s been an integral part of Arbor View’s activities department for more than 20 years. Jamie began her tenure in skilled nursing, where she worked as an activities assistant before being promoted to the life enrichment director of the independent and assisted living community. In this role, Jamie plans engaging activities and organizes community events tailored to residents’ unique interests. Alongside her team, she also oversees transportation scheduling and internal communications like our resident newsletter. Jamie’s certifications include activity director and Eden associate. She loves spending time with residents, hearing about their life experiences, and having fun together. In her free time, Jamie enjoys soaking up the sunshine, dabbling in a variety of hobbies, and spending time with friends and family.
Jamie Chapa Life Enrichment Director
Wade oversees all aspects of menu creation, ordering, scheduling, and day-to-day operations of Arbor View’s restaurant-style dining program. Previous food-related ventures include working in fine dining and private clubs and serving as a private chef for over a decade. He has also held roles in casinos and at Whole Foods Market. Wade earned his associate of science degree specializing in the culinary arts from the esteemed Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. When not working, you will likely find Wade spending time with his adult daughter, Innagen, or enjoying outdoor activities with his girlfriend and two Australian Shepherds.
Wade Roberts Culinary Director
Joseph has worked in building maintenance for more than a decade. His problem-solving skills and passion for working with his hands make him a tremendous asset to Arbor View. In his role, Joseph directs maintenance operations and reliability of all building systems and is responsible for ensuring resident and team member safety, while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements. Additionally, he oversees purchasing, develops the department’s annual budget, manages personnel, and is responsible for any needed repairs on campus. Joseph previously worked as a collections investigator for the State of Colorado and has held positions in banking and finance. He found Arbor View through word-of-mouth recommendations and was immediately drawn to working with seniors in a continuing care community. Outside work, Joseph enjoys spending time with his wife, working in the yard, exploring the great outdoors, and watching his four children play sports.
Joe Abeyta Maintenance Director
Dedicated to customer service excellence, Patricia is enthusiastic about and committed to helping people. As the front desk receptionist/concierge, she works hard to ensure everyone’s experience at Arbor View is pleasant. Her responsibilities include answering the phones, greeting visitors, and assisting residents and team members. Patricia earned her associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in applied psychology and is a qualified medication administration person. Previously, she held roles in retail and worked at an adolescent treatment center. She was attracted to Arbor View for the nice environment and enjoys chatting with residents about their plans for the day and interacting with colleagues. Patricia’s favorite pastimes include camping, fishing, cooking, and baking. You can also find her watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
Patricia Griffith Receptionist/Concierge
After a decade in cabinet and flooring work and 23 years with Jefferson County libraries, Doug was ready for a change. He felt working with seniors would be fulfilling and rewarding, so he obtained his Eden associate certification. Today, Doug is responsible for navigating and safely transporting residents to/from appointments, shopping excursions, and scenic tours. Additionally, he helps maintain and service our vehicles, serves beverages, and cares for the community fish. An avid outdoorsman, Doug enjoys boating, fishing, and hiking.
