Meet the Team

Marilyn has worked in healthcare and senior living for 22 years and is well-versed in every department—from dietary and life enrichment to social services and rehabilitation. She brings a wealth of experience to her role as Executive Director, where she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our independent and assisted living community. Before finding her home at Arbor View, Marilyn managed assisted living communities of various sizes across Colorado’s Front Range. She earned her Assisted Living Administrator’s license and is a certified QMAP. Marilyn fondly refers to her team as her “bonus family,” and enjoys collaborating to make a positive difference in her residents’ lives every day. Away from the office, Marilyn can be found reading, gardening, kayaking, or snowshoeing.

As Arbor View’s official community liaison, April takes pride in cultivating friendly relationships with local businesses and community groups, bringing community members in for tours, and making residents and their families feel comfortable. She takes a welcoming approach to leasing and uses creative ways to find new residents who will enjoy living in the community. April earned a Colorado Property, Casualty, Life, and Health Insurance License in 2006 and a Colorado Real Estate License in 2015. Prior to working in insurance, she held roles as a business office manager and worked in security dispatch for Jefferson County Schools. Away from the office, you can find April enjoying the great outdoors, nurturing her numerous house plants, and spending time with her beloved cats and chihuahuas.

Jamie’s interest in long-term care was piqued in high school and grew into a career that now spans over three decades. An industry veteran, she’s been an integral part of Arbor View’s activities department for more than 20 years. Jamie began her tenure in skilled nursing, where she worked as an activities assistant before being promoted to the life enrichment director of the independent and assisted living community. In this role, Jamie plans engaging activities and organizes community events tailored to residents’ unique interests. Alongside her team, she also oversees transportation scheduling and internal communications like our resident newsletter. Jamie’s certifications include activity director and Eden associate. She loves spending time with residents, hearing about their life experiences, and having fun together. In her free time, Jamie enjoys soaking up the sunshine, dabbling in a variety of hobbies, and spending time with friends and family.
Jamie Chapa Life Enrichment Director

Nikki has over 12 years of caregiving experience including five years working as an Administrator Designee for a Denver-based senior living community. In her role at Arbor View, Nikki oversees all operations for resident care and is responsible for collaborating with doctors, nurses, and caregivers to ensure our assisted living team members deliver the quality care residents need to live well and age well. Nikki prioritizes each individual resident’s unique needs and coordinates our person-centered approach to care, including ordering medications, orchestrating care conferences, updating care plans, and managing staff schedules. Nikki holds an Assisted Living Residence Administrator license. In her free time, Nikki enjoys spending time with her teenage son.
Nikki Overby Resident Care Coordinator/Wellness Director

As our Food Nutrition Manager, Chef Teresa brings over 20 years of culinary knowledge and skills to the table. She previously worked as a personal chef to a Hollywood celebrity and has spent time cooking, managing, and supervising dining services for both a large private company and a California-based community hospital. Chef Teresa has received firsthand training from many executive chefs and takes great pride in keeping her department running smoothly while creating a healthy and delicious menu for our senior residents. To Chef Teresa, cooking is an art form, and creating meals others enjoy always puts her in a positive state of mind. When she’s not in the kitchen, Chef Teresa loves to surround herself with nature. She also enjoys hiking and painting with her two sons.
Teresa Zamora Food Nutrition Manager

Joseph has worked in building maintenance for more than a decade. His problem-solving skills and passion for working with his hands make him a tremendous asset to Arbor View. In his role, Joseph directs maintenance operations and reliability of all building systems and is responsible for ensuring resident and team member safety, while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements. Additionally, he oversees purchasing, develops the department’s annual budget, manages personnel, and is responsible for any needed repairs on campus. Joseph previously worked as a collections investigator for the State of Colorado and has held positions in banking and finance. He found Arbor View through word-of-mouth recommendations and was immediately drawn to working with seniors in a continuing care community. Outside work, Joseph enjoys spending time with his wife, working in the yard, exploring the great outdoors, and watching his four children play sports.
Joe Abeyta Maintenance Director

A customer service-driven professional, Patricia is enthusiastic about and committed to helping people. As our Receptionist/Concierge, she works hard to ensure everyone’s experience at Arbor View is pleasant. Her responsibilities include answering the phones, greeting visitors, and assisting residents and team members. Patricia earned her associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in applied psychology and is a qualified medication administration person. Previously, she held roles in retail and worked at an adolescent treatment center. She was attracted to Arbor View for the nice environment and enjoys chatting with residents about their plans for the day and interacting with colleagues. Patricia’s favorite past times include camping, fishing, cooking, and baking. You can also find her watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

After a decade in cabinet and flooring work and 23 years with Jefferson County libraries, Doug was ready for a change. He felt working with seniors would be fulfilling and rewarding, so he obtained his Eden Associate certification. Today, Doug is responsible for navigating and safely transporting residents to/from appointments, shopping excursions, and scenic tours. Additionally, he helps maintain and service our vehicles, serves beverages, and cares for the community fish. An avid outdoorsman, Doug enjoys boating, fishing, and hiking.
